EVE JOHNSON HOUGHTON
Eve has been training racehorses with great distinction on the Oxfordshire downs above Blewbury since 2007. She has become a prominent force on the Flat in recent years and has achieved notable successes at Royal Ascot thanks to Accidental Agent and smart two-year -old Chipotle.
Based at Woodway - seated at the top of the historic village of Blewbury and surrounded by endless acres of private gallops, Eve continues to tread the path once forged firstly by her pioneer Grandmother Helen and father Fulke who were both successful Trainers in their own right.
Before taking over the training licence Eve was an accomplished amateur rider achieving 20 successes in the saddle which included the Diamond Race at Ascot – the pinnacle prize for lady amateur riders in the UK.
Eve has been on an upward trajectory over the past decade and year upon year has improved the quality of her string of horses - constantly sourcing useful performers from not a major outlay.
She has done particularly well in recent seasons with her two-year-olds and the 2023 campaign saw her take her prizemoney totals to a record high of over £900,000.
