What a fantastic week-end that was. We set off on Saturday with chances in 3 big races at Kempton and Sunday, 2 big races at The Curragh and we have come away with a few very near misses and 2 lovely winners.

SCARLET DRAGON ran a fantastic race in the Group 3 September Stakes at Kempton, just getting chinned on the line. He settled beautifully and cruised through the race and I really thought he had put it to bed when one came with a wet sail and just denied him. Although he has not won this year, his turn is definitely coming.
GOLDEN WEDDING & REAVER both picked up some nice prize money in the final of the mile series, GW ran probably his best race to finish 3rd and Reaver looked all over the winner a furlong out, but his run just petered out and he finished 5th. I would like to think they both could be winning again soon.
The day finished on a high with ACCIDENTAL AGENT, who has been frustrating me all year with a lot of little nigles which has meant I have been unable to run him since May, coming with a searing run to win a very competitive 7f handicap. We have always held this horse in high regard so it is great that he is showing on the track what we believe him to be capable of. His future looks very bright.
We set off bright & early to Ireland yesterday with 2 runners ICE AGE who stormed home in the opening sprint handicap, winning his connections 90,000 Euros. He has won 4 times this year, and just keeps on improving. If he gets in we will definitely be going for the Ayr Gold Cup. It looks a great option for him, so fingers crossed he makes the cut.
We have not got any runners until Thursday now, so it is a time to regroup and start think about buying next year's stars. I will be off to the yearling sales in the coming weeks, so keep looking at the horses for sale page for news of any new recruits. Get in touch if you are interested in joining the team.
