4-Timer!

22.07.22

Well what a day yesterday was, we have all just about recovered! We celebrated our first ever 4-timer thanks to Buccabay, Streets Of Gold, Greg The Great & Laguna Veneta. A five-timer looked like it was on the cards but we just missed out as Saucisson came 2nd!

2yo Buccabay (owned by The Buckingham Partnership) kicked off proceedings in grand style when sauntering to victory at Ascot with Charlie Bishop on board. His enthusiastic owners had great fun over the past few years with Buckingham and it looks like they have another nice horse on their hands.

Another 2yo winner was next to follow as Streets Of Gold (owned by J Allison & G C Stevens) defied the penalty following his debut win at Chepstow, when running away the Novice stakes at Newmarket.

It was then off the Chepstow where Greg The Great (owned by Campbell-Harris Family) - with a little help from the Stewards, was awarded the race at his beloved Chepstow - the same meeting that his dam Fantasy Queen won at a few years back. Greg is tying with Granary Queen as the joint most winning horse so far this year with 3 wins each.

Lastly Laguna Veneta (owned by Ballylinch Stud) gained her second victory of the season when scoring at Newmarket under William Buick.

5 runners, 4 winners and a 2nd..... not a bad day at the office!
